Do you find that every once-in-a-while, God might lay something important on your heart – it maybe a word, a concept, a prayer or an action? For us in the Webnet regional team, the theme of Partnership is a recent example.
Partnership is a powerful concept and is invariably the best way to go about things. The apostle Paul was a firm believer in the benefit of partnership: consequently, we read of Paul & Silas, and Paul and Timothy working together as partners in the mission of God. It is because of the significance and benefits of partnership that we have re-imagined the title of Webnet’s primary mission funding mechanism – Partnership in Mission.
We, the Webnet regional team and staff want to encourage partnership throughout Webnet – not least of all in the liberating mission of God. That’s why this year we are setting aside Sunday, 17th November as Webnet’s Partnership Sunday. Will you partner with us and our brothers and sisters in our Webnet churches?
We want to invite you individually and collectively to partner in a variety of ways:
To partner with another Webnet Baptist Church by swapping preachers – and sharing with your ‘guest’ church what God is doing in your own local community. We’ve produced some resources to make this an ‘easy win’. A sermon (outline/script) and a corresponding small group Bible study on the theme of partnership in mission are available on the Webnet website.
To share Partnership in Mission stories from around the network with your church on Partnership Sunday (several PiM videos are available on the Webnet website).
Share a prayer focus – so that other churches in Webnet can pray for you.
Give a special thanksgiving offering towards Webnet Partnership in Mission grants – and in doing so, deepen your investment in God’s mission in the west of England.
Will you partner with us in this? Will you please include this in your winter preaching schedule – talk it through with your Cluster and work out how you might best bless one another by partnering together in Webnet Partnership Sunday.
Let’s by God’s grace make this a significant milestone in 2024, and see what God produces as a result of our partnering together in his mission.
